Done!!!

I'm done with the photo book, after I have tried uploading it up for so many times and it have been failing ever since yesterday. So I decided to pray hoping that this file will not have errors again, and I leave my computer alone. About half an hour later it's done. I am so relived.

Problems in Uploading

In the morning today I check my final piece again to make sure, and have been trying to upload the file since morning. It seems like issuu is seems to have problems for me, for when I try uploading it up, it finishes, and when it converting, it took a very long time, and several hours later it show me a message saying that it fail. So here I am sitting in front of the computer waiting for it to finish, so I would be able to finally sent this piece to my teacher.

Get Organized!

Since I finish my draft photo book last week, and let my teacher look at it, and there was one thing I learned. I just knew that a good photo book requires many things. Beautiful pictures, correct wordings, design that is organized, unity, love, talent and imagination. A good photo book that we saw in the public, came from hard word to make it all nice. So I am making an adjustments to make everything organized. And will be uploading the new photo book up shortly.

Little more photos

I have found the right program to use it which is the Microsoft Words for mac and I use a special word that acts like publisher in Windows, and so far it helps me a lot.

Also I try to have all of my photos into place, and after choosing my photos I have realize that I need a little more photos, that relates to pollution, and heat. So I walk around my house and here is what I found.

This one is what I've found in my neighborhood and yes it is not a good thing to have.

Problem, PROBLEM, PROBLEMS!!!!! :(

I have been having problems lately, trying to find the right program to do this photo book. I've tried Word (It's hard and difficult to format), Powerpoint (Easy but don't have borderless), iPhoto (came out ok, but it is not flexible at all, and it's seems like I am cheating). I'm depressed! Due next week and I can't get it together! T______T I am going to try publisher, but seems like the window I am using is having a virus. :(

So I rode on the BTS and MRT and go to many places around the city, and my shots are buildings, and people using public transportation, to show that lots of people use public transportation.

Siam Paragon

Today I ask myself where can I go to take good pictures that clearly shows that Bangkok are so dense. Satorn? Thong Lor? Ekamai? Asoke? Then I think to myself where people normally go? ... Siam! Every time I went to Siam and Siam Paragon I remember that there are lots and lots of people just chilling around that area, so with no delay I hopped onto the car and drove to Siam, and there are lots of people, lots of cars, long line of people waiting to get Krispy Kreme. I start taking pictures right away. So here's my top five pictures for today.

Photos again

I have been spending 3 weeks taking photos, and I feel that it's very hard to take nice photos that I have in my mind. So I decided that I should do some research also not just taking photos.

Here's my statistics!

There are about 1,191 buildings in Bangkok and 305 are skyscrapers.
Estimated over 660,000 people use BTS and MRT daily.
In 2009 alone 700,000 cars were sold.
There are 1.5 million home phone and 19 million mobile users.

These are the five photos I pick from my journey.

I roam to many places!

It has been a while that I post something up I was roaming to many places! I went to Hua Hin, Samut Songkhram, and many places in Bangkok, and today I went to Tha Pra chan area to take some photos. I did finish with my outline: where I am going to put the pictures. So right now what I have to do is to take nice pictures and put it in here, with a little bit of information.

Yay I got my idea!

After spending 3 days thinking and still came up with nothing. I think that I should change my topic. So I sent another email to Aj. Piyatat saying:

Dear Aj. Piyatat,

My definition of old and new society is my grandparent's and great grandparent vs. my and my parent society.

I'm sorry for the late reply, when you told me to focus on one particular topic. I start to question myself what should I focus on, and I have been having a very hard time trying to come up with one.

Can I change my topic?

This new topic of mine is about: more people live in the condominium, and compared to the past, this recent years the property business expands rapidly, hundreds of condominium are being built. Are more people using public transportation (BRT, BTS, MRT); do people drive less? In this photo book I'll also have graphs, and charts. Pictures with very few text on the bottom. I might call this piece "Bangkok Expansion"

Do you feel that this topic is appropriate?

Regards,

Panod Srisinsuphya

3 hours and 20 minutes passed by exactly I got a reply!

Your new idea sound pretty good, I think your idea is urban expansion & congestion. It would be a good thing to raise, why & where are we heading.
I never ask you to compare anything, so don't feel like you have to compare whatever, you only need to research & raise your topic using your photos.

Best

Piyatat

With this email I began to think about the book right away.

Idea Sent!

After two days of deciding that X and Y Generation topic might be a good topic to do, I compose an email and send to Aj. Piyatat.

Dear Aj. Piyatat,

I am planning to do a photo book about X and Y Generation, showing the changes in the society in the past 60 years. How the old and new society fit into each other perfectly. How life keeps on changing.
Would this topic be usable?

Sincerely,
Panod Srisinsuphya

Quick enough 4 hours and 59 minutes later I got an email saying:

Your idea is very broad, I recommend you focus on particular topic. X & Y generation sound interesting. Do you really think Old & New society fit perfectly? What is your definition of old & new society?

Best

Piyatat

With questions being asked, I was stunned and began to think what can I focus? But nothing that I could think of, maybe I need to change my topic, but still with this determination I keep on thinking.

Some inspirations

It has been a week, and I still couldn't be able to think of anything, until one of my friend said "comparison would work". With that in my mind I have an idea that I should do a comparison between generations, maybe X and Y Generation would work. So off I go finding informations

Project Assigned!

Today is my birthday... One of the day in a year that I don't want it to come, because my age will increase again, and this year I no longer can be called a teenager. D: :(

Today Aj. Piyatat assigned us a solo final project in which we have to make a photo book about our society, or "Social Consciousness". With that in mind I began to think of what I can do, and many hours later I still couldn't think of anything.
